Why a Scope of Work Matters

A scope of work does two jobs. It tells the technician exactly what to clean and how to clean it, and it gives the client a written record of what was agreed before the visit starts.

That matters when a client says, "I thought the hallway was included," or when the technician arrives and finds a stain-heavy area that was never documented during assessment.

?FAQ

Is a scope of work different from a quote?
Yes. A quote focuses on price. A scope of work defines exactly what will be cleaned, how it will be cleaned, and what is excluded.
Should the client see the scope of work?
Usually yes. Sharing the scope before the visit reduces misunderstandings and makes add-on approvals easier.
What if the technician finds extra areas on-site?
Update the scope, document the change, and get written approval before cleaning those areas if they affect price or time.
Automate This

Turn Scope Into a Repeatable Field Workflow

A good scope of work should drive what the technician does on-site, not sit in a file after the quote is sent.

  • Convert the agreed areas and add-ons into the technician's visit checklist
  • Give the technician stain notes, access notes, and method guidance before arrival
  • Send timestamps, checklist completion, and photos back to the client as the record of delivery
