Track every open estimate and get reminded

A free LeadDuo account shows your open estimates in one list and drafts a follow-up you can copy.

With Invoice Plus ($9/month), LeadDuo sends the follow-up from your account and can send one reminder for that estimate. You approve every message.

  • An estimate follow-up is a short message to a customer who hasn't answered your estimate yet.
  • A common time to follow up is 3 days after you send the estimate, then one last check if there's still no reply.
  • This free tool writes the email and the text message for you. It runs in your browser: nothing is sent and no AI is used.

How It Works

  1. 1Pick your trade and enter the customer's first name, the job and the estimate amount.
  2. 2Enter how many days ago you sent the estimate and pick a tone: friendly check-in, answer questions or last check.
  3. 3Copy the email or the text message and send it from your own email or phone.
  4. 4Have a list of unanswered estimates? Open the Open-Estimates Checker tab to see how old they are and which to follow up first.

Estimate Follow-Up FAQs

How long should I wait before following up on an estimate?
A common starting point is 3 days after you send it. That gives the customer time to read it and compare while the job is still fresh. For urgent jobs, like a broken AC or a leak, a same-day or next-day check-in is normal.
How many times should I follow up on an estimate?
For most residential estimates, once or twice is enough: a friendly check-in, then one last note if you still haven't heard back. LeadDuo Recover is built the same way, with up to 2 follow-ups per estimate.
Should I follow up by email or by text?
Use the channel the customer used with you. This tool gives you both: a full email and a short text-message version of the same follow-up.
What should an estimate follow-up email say?
Keep it short: the customer's name, which estimate you mean, an easy way to say yes (reply or call) and an open door for questions. If price is the concern, offering a different scope usually works better than an unplanned discount.
Is this tool free? Do I need an account?
It's free and needs no account. Messages are built in your browser from templates, so nothing is sent anywhere. You copy the message and send it yourself.
What does the Open-Estimates Checker do with my list?
It reads your pasted rows or CSV file in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded. If you choose “Import these into LeadDuo”, up to 50 rows are kept in your browser's local storage until you finish signing up, then added to your Follow-ups list.
Can LeadDuo send the follow-ups for me?
Yes, with Invoice Plus ($9/month) or any paid ServiceHub plan, at no extra cost. LeadDuo Recover lists your open estimates, drafts the follow-up and sends it from your account after you approve it. You can also turn on one reminder for each estimate. A free account can see its open estimates and copy one drafted follow-up. The Invoice Pass ($4.99 for 10 invoices) does not include Recover.
