Multiply your per-visit price (with salting) by the number of plowable snowfalls you expect, add a margin for heavy winters, and spread it over the billing months, usually November to March. The calculator estimates the snowfalls from your region's average snowfall and your trigger depth: average snowfall ÷ twice the trigger, since a storm that triggers a push averages about twice that much snow. At a 2 in (5 cm) trigger that is one event per 4 in (10 cm); change the count if your area runs different.
What does a seasonal contract cost?▼
A full-season residential contract typically runs $300–$1,000 in the US and $350–$1,700 CAD in Canada, often billed monthly at about $100–$400. Heavy-snow cities such as Buffalo, Ottawa and Quebec City sit at the top.
